Amethyst is the stone of clarity, calm, and sobriety of mind, the ancient Greek antidote to excess in all its forms. They named it Amethystos meaning “not drunk!” This lovely pendant is a brilliant orchid purple—bright and alive—set backwards in a portrait frame of 22k gold, its faceted back left open to catch light through the stone like a stained glass window. The top of the pendant rises into a small pagoda, a wavy gold roof over two solid gold balls, finished with a simple round bail on my signature sterling and 21k gold chain.
